So along with a good percentage of Boston I had to deal with the hell that is September 1st moving day, but thankfully I only had to move around the corner. The last place I was living was small as hell, with just enough room for my bed, a common area that was barely big enough for a futon (certainly not big enough to open the futon), and two rather strange roommates - a guy from Texas with some kind of breathing disorder and a German medical student who only wanted to go clubbing, specifically at Tequila Rain.
I moved around the corner, still in Fenway, and now pay $35 more a month for a bedroom more than double the size, a good sized living room and kitchen, and all utilities (except cable) included. Both of the roommates are normal, and the girl has already made homemade pizza and cake. Its such a great feeling actually having a descent place to relax in after work and roommates I can kick back and hang out with.

my wife tried to make me a cake the other day, and i nearly broke the fork trying to dig into it. so i'm pretty jealous of anyone who lives with someone who can make good cake.

Yeah it was a nice surprise...came home after being out at the bar after work and she goes "oh there's a piece of cake I saved for you in the fridge.

Are you having a house warming party like you had last year? I would love to stain a new toilet. Or possibly not get as drunk and actually enjoy myself.
